Axolotl
Your toes and heels aren’t the same so why is your board designed like they are? It is more difficult to apply leverage over your heels when compared to your toes. The initial sidecut on the heel edge of the board is a wider/larger radius which allows for great stability on wide open turns. As the rider leans over the heel side edge to turn sharper, the deeper sidecut is put to work. The deeper sidecut allows you to turn sharply heel side with less effort. There are a total of 4 different radii sidecuts which create three noticeable pressure points along the edge. The pressure points give extra contact points to the snow which gives a stronger edge hold in varying snow conditions. The nose of the Axolotl is more tapered on the heel side edge to allow for easier turn initiation and to prevent drag through the snow while maintaining effortless float. The tail on the heel edge is slightly softer flexing than the toe side. A softer flexing tail and longer effective edge will give a more forgiving edge hold through unseen rough and bumpy terrain. The tail along the toe edge is stiffer which prevents loss of energy when turning. The toe side edge is also shorter keeping the ride playful and catch free. The heel side and toe side tails also flex independently of each other allowing for independent behavior. The softer torsional flex in the tail livens the board up with a surfy riding experience. The result of the asymmetrical design allows for powerful turns to drive the board where you want to when you want. The float and stability are fantastic due to the wide footprint. The axolotl comes in two varieties, one board for goofy foot riders and one for regular foot riders so make sure you pick the correct version for you for optimum performance.
Each surfer comes equipped with the grippiest CNC cut foam grip and a coiled leash. The foam grip maintains traction in any conditions and does not clog with snow. The coiled leash is more compact and stays out of the way but stretches to allow for more distance between you and the board during a crash.
Carabiner Clip color may vary.

MORE ABOUT THE DESIGN
The turn feels more locked in and similar to powder turns on a traditional snowboard. The wide nose, taper, and traditional sidecut gives the board a very reliable and stable ride making it great for any skill level. The MPH (Modern Plaining Hall) nose mixed with long drawn out rocker lines make the board quick, agile, and floaty. The rock to concave edge gives the edges more bite into the snow when engaged. It also allows the board to have a large waist width while maintaining easy turn initiation. We are able to achieve this by the raised edges and adding flat section down the midsection of the board where the main points of contact are located. This results in the ability ride flat based easily while having the response needed to turn on a dime with the slightest lean. It also gives you the mechanical advantage of leverage over the edge allowing you to dig in the edge better than if the board was flat. The waxable 4001 Durasurf sintered ptex base is of highest race grade quality which will keep you riding fast all season long. Our powder surfers are designed to be ridden much smaller than a traditional snowboard. By changing concave, rocker lines, and width, we are able to achieve incredible float in a much more maneuverable package allowing you to take them anywhere. The powder surfers are great for smaller lines than you would typically ride on a snowboard. They can turn a less than ideal conditions into a fun day by allowing you to ride mellower and different lines. That being said, when heading out into the backcountry use the proper safety gear and precautions. It’s better to skip a day than miss the rest of your days. GET Industries Powder Surfers will not allow you to avoid avalanches, tree wells, hidden objects, or any other dangers you may encounter. GET Industries is also not responsible for your actions or any events caused due to your interaction in backcountry terrain. Know before you go, ride responsibly, and at your own risk. |
